During the span of his thirty-six year career, Mr. Willits has handled a wide variety of cases. After passing the Florida state bar in 1971, he became a partner in a Palm Beach County Law firm. For one year he was an insurance defense attorney. In 1980 he opened his own firm, so he could provide his clients with the personal service and creative solutions he felt they deserved. After several practice configurations, he became a sole practitioner in 1996.
He has represented the victims of legal malpractice for the past twenty years. He has spent his whole career in Southern Florida, so he is familiar with the local courts and understands the needs of his local clientele. He taught courses for the Palm Beach County Bar and was president of the Palm Beach County Federal Bar. He has received the highest rating from his peers under Martindale Hubbell's rating system- the AV rating.* He was named in the Miami Herald's SuperLawyer section, among Top Florida Lawyers in 2006.
